On May 12th, 2014, NAAAP Boston hosted the 25th Annual Future Leader Award Scholarship Gala at the Curry Student Center Ballroom at Northeastern University. The event was co-sponsored by the university’s Asian American Center. MA State Senator Sonia Chang-Diaz and Boston City Councilor Michelle Wu served as guest speakers at the gala. During the night’s festivities, NAAAP Boston awarded two outstanding Asian American students, Yi Fung and Jerry Li for their accomplishments in leadership, community service, extra-curricular activities, and academic achievement. As a recipient of the Liberty Mutual Future Leader Award, Yi Fung plans to attend Rice University and study computer science or biomedical engineering. Jerry Li, a recipient of the Richard T.N.
