Lucy will share her inspiring story of how she transitioned from chemical engineer to being the first Asian American bookstore owner in New York City. She will also discuss what it means to be a Limitless Leader.  This session will be moderated by Susan Im of NAAAP NY.

Featured Speaker Bio:

Lucy Yu is the founder & owner of Yu and Me books. She is a former chemical engineer turned bookstore owner and has finally made her dream come true of creating a bookstore that showcases diverse voices with a focus on immigrant stories. Her favorite books to read are those that make her cry while sipping coffee, and her favorite food is Dan Dan noodles. Her dog, Odie, is her official mascot of her store and Yu and Me Book’s official employee of the month (every month). She lives in Astoria, Queens, NY with her partner and best friend, Matt.

Moderator Bio:

Susan Im is a strategic business advisor, professional diversity coach, public speaker, and founder of SIM Collaborations where she helps clients build inclusive climates where everyone can contribute and realize their full potential. She is also a Senior Director of Human Resources Business Partnerships at Caleres, Inc.
