Objective: To cultivate and empower a community of female leaders to address microaggressions in the workplace.

In the past few months, we have seen a surge in corporations engaging in conversations about race, diversity, equity and inclusion. While these conversations have paved the way for impactful DEI initiatives, microaggressions are still occurring in the workplace. Microaggressions are defined as verbal, behavioral, and environmental indignities that are hostile and derogatory towards a marginalized group of people. In being "micro", they are subtle actions that occur casually and frequently, making them easily dismissive. For women professionals, it can be difficult to address the impact of microaggressions in the workplace especially as a woman of color.

Are you tired of dealing with microagressions on your own in the workplace? In the professional work environment, what are some frequently used microaggressions targeted towards Asian or Asian American Pacific Islander females? How do these microaggressions affect one's professional life, career development and mental and physical health? Are there strategies we can take to better address microaggressions in the workplace as women of color?

We invite you to please come share your experiences, and learn from other industry professionals in this free roundtable discussion to empower one another in dealing with microaggressions in the workplace. This event will take place virtually on Wednesday September 30th from 7:00-8:30pm and will be hosted by Women in NAAAP.
