The Scholarship Committee is responsible for administering the Future Leader Award, an Asian American leadership scholarship recognizing high school students who are aspiring leaders in their communities. The scholarship was founded in 1987 out of a grassroots effort by community members – the Committee has offered scholarships every year since then. The Scholarship Committee prioritizes candidates with demonstrated financial need and evaluates these candidates on academic achievement, extracurricular activities, community service, and leadership related experiences.
